Ice Study - these are images of Mackintosh Lake in Longmont taken last winter when it was frozen. I took several images of different patterns on different days. Putting them together and then rendering them in black and white evened out the lighting variations and made the piece more cohesive. Enjoy and thanks for visiting!

I like the smaller strips - somehow the image is more integrated. I made this one monochrome to highlight the lines and the clouds. Enjoy and thanks for visiting!

This is a different kind of collage than I have been exploring. The figure was placed on a photograph and then re-photographed. She seems to be in the scene but if you look closely the grass is growing at an odd angle. The reflection in the water behind her plus the unresolved point of view create an uneasy resolution. I love pushing the image to the edge so that it becomes something else beyond the photographic representation of the scene. This reminds me of a blueprint or some kind of data imagery. Enjoy and thanks for visiting!

This is just a plain old composite. I really like the colors of the sky against the orangy flowers in the foreground. This is a bit rough but it would take a lot of time to refine it and, well, it’s got to be done in a day for the challenge. Enjoy! Thanks for visiting.

I spent a lot of time with this image. First I stitched 3 photographs together manually, then copied and pasted to create the pattern. After flattening the image the color was pulled out to maximize the wintry feel. Enjoy and thanks for visiting!
